Immuno-Oncology: Breakthrough but Not Unbounded

Researchers have long known that the immune system regularly identifies and removes cancer cells from the body. Tumor growth becomes uncontrolled only when the cancer either overwhelms or evades these defenses. It's not surprising, then, that finding a means of providing advantages to the immune system has been a priority for drug developers.
